Garron Tower got off to a flying start in our 2009 campaign with a quick fire point from Eamon Heggarty after just a minute and it set the trend. He struck over his 2nd just seconds later and the scores flooded over from our star marksman Conor Mc Garry and Cahir Mc Naughton put us 6 clear after 6 minutes.
Our big target man in full forward Dominic Delargy secured his first goal of the Game after 10 minutes and another followed a minute later for Cahir Mc Naughton after a sublime pass by Dominic Delargy and a quick point after that for Cahir as well due to some hard work from Eamon Heggarty. As we got into top gear the rest of the forwards got on to the score sheet, Dom Sharkey took his score well as did Padraig Kerr with a great catch at the middle of the park and a well taken score from the 45 yard line.
Conor Mc Garry got his 3rd point of the game and his first goal on the 20th minute. Two points from the two Dominics made the score 3-13 after 23 minutes. Dom Delargy added another point to our tally after a sublime effort from Cahir Mc Naughton that hit the Cross Bar and Dom acted the fastest to convert the score .
Dom Sharkey was then substituted for Fiontann O Connor after 25 minutes. Dom got his third and final point of the game just before the half as did Conor Mc Garry added another goal to his 2-4 tally, after a lapse in defense due to a misunderstanding that the whistle was blown to end the first half St Patrick's added their first goal of the game to finish of a well dominant first half for the Tower men. The score at half time was 4-15 to 1-0.
Substitutions were made at the break. Sean Hamilton, Phil Mc Kendry and Karl Delargy were taken off and the replacements were Blaine Stewart, Mick Kane and this year's Head boy Matthew White took up his place in the back line and Chris Mc Carthy into full forward for Dom Delargy . As the half started off Fiontann got his name to our score sheet with an individual effort for goal , but Barnageeha got the second goal of the match and their final score after 33 minutes, Paul Monaghan and Cahir Mc Naughton were taken off for Andy Delargy and Kelan Abram. Eamon Heggarty converted a 50 yard free for his third score of the day. A sublime goal from Fiontann O Connor soon followed as he whipped a ball on the ground to find the top corner from 15 yards; Eoghan Patterson made his appearance after a return from holiday for Padraig Kerr. 3 scores from Fiontann, Conlaith Mc Neil and Andy Delargy after 45 minutes and after that the longest spell we went without a score was 5 minutes but Conlaith added his second score of the match and as Fiontann rounded off his 2nd half performance with another point.
Finally to finish the game off Andy Delargy got a quick goal and a point to finish the game with a final score line of 7-24 to 2-0 .

Loreto College, Coleraine vs. Garron tower
The second match of our senior team campaign got off to a slow start as we fell a point behind after just 30 seconds. This soon changed as Eamon Heggarty hit back with 3 consecutive points by the fourth minute, Loreto scored an excellent free from long range to put them just a point behind, but the Tower struck back with an excellent goal from our sharpshooter Conor Mc Garry on the tenth minute.
Dom Delargy got his name on the score sheet with a fine score. Loreto struck back with a scrappy goal caused from overall bad defending, Conor Mc Garry got another point on the 18th minute followed by one from Loreto on the 20th, and Eamon Heggarty got his fourth and final point on the 23rd minute , Conor converted his 2nd free of the day on the 24th and a scrappy goal from Cahir McNaughton on the half time whistle put us ahead by 8 points.
Half Time Score GT 2-8 to Loreto's 1-3.
As the second Half got of to a flying start. Loreto were the first to have a chance as they were one on one with our keeper, and a fine save from Sean O'Hare saved us from a very good goal scoring chance.
After the fine save we went up the pitch to score another goal from Conor Mc Garry. Changes were made at these minutes, and Loreto saw the opportunity as our team was re-adjusting they bounced back with a goal, another goal from Conor Mc Garry seemed to put the match away.
On the 40th minute put some great defending from Sean Cosgrove made sure the Coleraine team were not getting another goal. They converted 3 points in 3 minutes, but 2 final goals from Conor Mc Garry sealed the game for the tower, and a final point from substitute Conlaoth Mc Neil to round off a scrappy game all together and an all-round poor performance from Garron Tower.
Final Score
Garron Tower 6-9 to Loreto 2-6
