St Patrick's Academy beat St Paul's Bessbrook in their first group game in the 2010 Rannafast Cup by 5.10 to 3.10. This was a game which went right down to the wire with two late goals by Stephen McGrath sealing the game. Bessbrook started the brighter team and led by four points after 25 minutes. Two late goals in the first half by Ruairi McGlone gave Dungannon a slender half time lead. Again Bessbrook started the second half the brighter and scored some excellent points. Peter McKenna and Gareth Devlin started to gain control around the middle of the field and with Michael Lynn and Deasun Quinn playing well in the half forward line Dungannon finished strongly to clinch a hard earned victory.
