Fri 1st Oct 2010
Gaelic games received a major boost in St. Patrick’s High School Keady with the announcement of three significant sponsorship packages to further enhance the burgeoning reputation of the current Irish News School of the Year as a force in Ulster Colleges GAA.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Seamus Murray, deputy principal, stated that the support of these local businesses in these tough economic times was a sign of the faith placed in the school by the local community and the commitment of these businesses to the school. He hoped that the partnership would be a mutually beneficial arrangement over the three years of the support.
Mr Simon Mc Geary Head of Boys PE in St. Patrick’s thanked the sponsors, Mr Michael Beattie (Premier Promotions), Mr Ed Coyle (Island Construction Ltd) and Mr Kevin Mone (V Mone and Son Hardware) and assured them that their support would help to drive the promotion of Gaelic Games in the school at all levels and would leave a lasting legacy for the school, the local clubs and the county.
