The Official Ulster Colleges GAA Website - Sponsored by BTSt.Mary's Banagher GAC was founded in 1965 by Fr.McNally, who set out to revive Gaelic Football in the parish by amalgamating St.Mary's Park and St.Joseph's Carnanbane. St.Mary's Banagher was chosen as a compromise between the two old clubs and the maroon and white colours were chosen in recognition of the Galway team who were All Ireland Champions at the time.
