BT and Ulster Colleges GAA

BT has been a passionate supporter of the Ulster Colleges for the last 8 years, sponsoring 30 of the under 16 category trophies.

The new tie-up will see us extend our involvement to the senior under 18 competitions including the flagship MacRory Cup, McLarnon and Mageean Cups as well as the high profile annual Football and Hurling All Stars.

BT is wholeheartedly committed to the GAA at a grassroots level and the community which surrounds it, and we are excited about building on our successes of the past eight years. Over the next three years we will not simply be putting our name to the cups and competitions, this is a partnership which we take great pride in.

So what are BT actually doing?

• To show our commitment to our new relationship and the GAA community we will be contributing financially to the administration of matches, of which there will be a staggering 1400 during the next school year. That's quite a fixture list to sort out!
• To show our commitment to technology and innovation we have developed and launched a brand new website for Ulster Colleges. The new site will give each of the 48 schools their very own homepage, which will be updated by student journalists, allowing the students to keep us all updated on the action.
• To show our commitment to the young players education, we have announced a new and totally unique award scheme called the BT Education Bursary. This will be awarded annually to 5 Ulster Colleges Players and will be worth £1000 towards the players 3rd level education.
