This is the St Patrick's College Maghera side that defeated Cross and Passion Ballycastle in the 1989 Mageean Cup final by 4-10 to 0-4.
The captain was future All-Ireland football medallist Brian McCormick, who actually won his first Mageean medal 4 years earlier as goalie in the 1985 team. See if you can spot Geoffrey McGonigle, Michael Collins, Benny Ward and Ronan McCloskey, all of whom had estensive careers with Derry senior hurlers, winning Ulster Senior medals in 2000 and2001.
However the player seated second from right in the front row is the one we want you to identify. He won an All-Ireland senior football medal and several All-stars in the Derry colours and is currently very much in the news. Who is he?
