A student from Loreto College Coleraine, Specialist School, has been granted an Ulster Colleges’ All Star award for Camogie.
Maria Mooney, who is in Year 12 at Loreto College, received this honour after a testing series of trials over recent months. Maria has a distinguished history of representing Loreto in camogie as well as other sports throughout her years at the College, in addition to playing a leading part in her local team, Eoghan Rua. It is also remarkable that Maria is among the youngest students province-wide to be afforded this honour this year.
Maria, along with Gaelic Games co-ordinator and camogie coach Mrs Schira McGoldrick, and camogie coach Bean Ui Mháináin, was congratulated on this tremendous achievement by College Principal Mr Brian Lenehan.
